About Us

In 1962, Sam Srour and his business partner decided to open a tavern style bar in College Park, MD. Steps from The University of Maryland, Sam figured they would have plenty of customers but little did he know that the small tavern named The Rendezvous Inn would become the iconic ‘Vous that Maryland students and alumni would talk about for years to come. Fast forward a couple decades to 1986 when Sam’s two sons, Greg & Mark, proudly took over the family business to carry on their father’s legacy. 

The ‘Vous remained one of the most popular college bars in the nation for the next ten years until the Srour brothers felt that changing times called for a fresh take on the establishment. In 1997 they hung up their “’Vous Shoes”, and transformed the building into The Cornerstone Grill & Loft - a premier sports bar serving classic American food, providing customers with a casual environment to eat, drink, relax and catch a game.

Since then, The Cornerstone Grill & Loft has followed in the The ‘Vous footsteps by becoming a part of the College Park experience. Our main floor consisting of 15 HD TVs and large projection TV is the perfect place to watch your favorite team or sport while enjoying one of our 16 beers on tap or a signature cocktail. We also offer the largest selection of craft beers in College Park with over 40 different beers available. Our deck and patio are great spots to grab lunch with friends and offer prime locations for drinks and people watching.

Looking for a space that is a little bit more intimate? Then head up to our second floor known as The Loft. There you will find our 17 foot HD tv wall, with capabilities to watch 8 games at once, our dj booth, custom laser light show over our dance floor, haze machine, all perfect for those late night party vibes. The Loft also features 12 beers on tap, a digital jukebox, and of course the same great food menu, selection of craft beers, and our signature cocktails. The Loft is the perfect place to host a private or semi-private event for all occasions with full catering options and a full-service bar.
